TXT-Records (Descriptive text)

TXT-records are used to hold descriptive text.

They are often used to hold general information about a domain name such as who is hosting it, contact person, phone numbers, etc.

One common use of TXT-records is for SPF (see http://www.open-spf.org).

To create a new TXT-record, right-click a zone in the left list in the DNS Records window, and select "New TXT-record" from the pop-up menu.

This record type is defined in RFC1035.

Dmarc Record Problem
We are using simple dns more than 4 years. I am adding Dmarc record for my domains but when I checked them on agari.com, mxtoolbox.com (or any other sites), they said "Dmarc Record not found". My Dmarc record example is below. Is it wrong or how can I solve this problem. Thanks.
Record Type: TXT Record
Record Name: _dimarc.adonishotel.net
Text String: v=DMARC1; p=none; sp=none; rua=mailto:postmaster@3tbilisim.com; ruf=mailto:postmaster@3tbilisim.com; rf=afrf; pct=100; ri=86400

Looks like your record name have an error. Remove the "i" from your _dImarc.adonishotel.net.

Wildcard entries for DMARC1 do not seem to work. For example:
*._report._dmarc.localdomain.tld TXT v=DMARC1 (does not work)
externaldomain.tld._report._dmarc.localdomain.tld TXT v=DMARC1 (does work)

Make sure that you don't have ANY other records at "externaldomain.tld._report._dmarc.localdomain.tld" - as this would cancel the wildcard.
